FOR CANADIAN MSB OWNERS

Considering selling
your Canadian MSB?

We work with buyers seeking Canadian MSB acquisition opportunities. If you own an existing MSB or are authorized to act for its owner, discuss a potential sale with Apex privately.

An initial conversation carries no obligation to sell. Buyer interest, price and timing depend on the business and proposed transaction.

A CONSIDERED NEXT STEP

Start with the business.
Then explore the fit.

01

Share the essentials

Tell us about your company, registration status and plans. High-level information is enough for the first enquiry.

02

Discuss buyer fit

We review your summary and discuss whether your MSB may fit the requirements of buyers we work with.

03

Agree the next steps

Before a buyer introduction or document exchange, we agree the appropriate sharing arrangements, scope and any fees with you.

Discuss a potential sale

All fields are required unless marked optional. Please keep your answers high-level.

01 · Company & registration

FINTRAC registration is registration—not a licence or endorsement. RPAA refers to the Retail Payment Activities Act. An existing bank account does not guarantee continued banking after a change of ownership.

02 · Sale plans
03 · Your details

BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Clear expectations.

Does Apex guarantee a buyer, price or sale date?
No. We work with buyers seeking Canadian MSB opportunities, but cannot guarantee a buyer, a sale, a specific valuation or a completion timeline. Any transaction depends on buyer fit, due diligence and agreed terms.
Can I enquire about a non-operating MSB?
Yes. Tell us whether the business is operating, dormant or has not yet commenced operations, and provide its current registration status. We can discuss whether a potential introduction may be appropriate.
Is FINTRAC registration a licence?
No. FINTRAC registration is not a licence or endorsement of a business. It does not establish that a buyer can immediately operate the company. Read FINTRAC’s explanation.
What happens after an initial discussion?
If there may be a fit, we discuss the next steps and define Apex’s role, any fees and information-sharing arrangements. Legal, accounting, regulatory and compliance work requires a separately agreed scope and responsible provider. See our process.
